Regina Library at Rivier College, constructed in the mid -1950's, had not been updated since its original construction. At 17,316 square feet, on two floors, with three floors of stacks, the building was cramped, and uninviting to the student body.
With assistance by Aaron Cohen Associates, who participated in interviewing staff, and drafting a program of building use, and thanks to a substantial bequest, from a local family, Rivier College was able to almost double the size of the building, adding 11,376 square feet, for much needed reading areas, small group study areas, and a small coffee shop.
A complete gut and renovation of the existing building, along with this new addition has made Regina Library into a central magnet for this small college campus.
