Chip Krause

Chip, one of the founding partners of CMK, graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design. Upon graduation, he worked for Jasinski Architects, specializing in earth sheltered residential structures, before he, Fred Matuszewski and Al Corzilius formed CMK in 1984. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), as well as licensed in the states of NH, CT, NY and FL.

Chip has been a vanguard of green architecture since the 1980’s and more recently has been actively installing solar collectors throughout the state. He is currently working on one of the largest geothermal projects in New England for the Governor Wentworth Regional School District in Wolfeboro, a Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) project.

Chip is a strong advocate for the owner committed to delivering value and quality in the completed building.
